    I am puzzled by the absence of “Auditorium” among the finalists and therefore I must conclude that community-based judging is retarded.

      It’s not community based, as far as I know. A selected number of industry insiders and journalists are asked to cast their votes.

      But yeah, the fact that Auditorium didn’t make it into the finals is pretty dumb.

    One-line reviews 🙂

    Joe Danger – Stunts rehashed. At least it looks colorful.
    Monaco – Looks awful, confusing gameplay.
    Rocketbirds – Generic platformer, nice art.
    Trauma – Blurry gimmick.
    Super Meat Boy – Hardcore platformer, gets old quickly.

    From the videos, I can’t see a clear favourite here, unlike previous years. If anything, it proves creativity in indie games is a myth.

      Oh my, creativity and innovation are persistent characteristics of indie productions in any medium, video games included. Unless you were going for pure shock value (achieved), you should add further nuance to your position.
